Life has been crazy at the Turner house. Pre-K started for Brogan on the 4th and he loves every minute of it. He is in class with all of his friends. It is a small class of 10. All but 2 have been in the same class since last year and 4 of them have been together since they were toddlers (Brogan and 3 of his friends). Mrs. Noack, their teacher is crazy to take on this high energy bunch but she seems to be handling all of them just fine. They are having fun and learning. The other day at dinner Brogan was telling Jason and I, “I have nerves at the end of my fingers and if I touch something hot it sends a message up my arm and to my brain that says, ‘Ouch! That is hot pull away!’” Now you have to picture him drawing a line up his arm with his finger to his head and acting like he has touched something hot. It was pretty funny and we had no clue where he got this information. Once we looked at the lesson plan that gets sent home we discovered that they are learning the 5 senses. We recite them often – not just Brogan but Mom and Dad too.
This is the Class Banner we did on the first day of school. The kids took paper dolls and made their family. We are below Brogan is in the yellow shirt, I am to the left and Jason is to the right.
The Rhinos have started their soccer season. The kids get to pick the team name and the boys out number the girls so The Princess', Butterflies, etc were all vetoed rather quickly. I am coaching Brogan's team again and Auggie is on it this year. For those of you who don’t know Auggie is Brogan’s best friend – they have been together since day care when they were about a year old. The boys are having a great time and so are the other kids. It is so fun to watch them play. This is Brogan’s second year and he has improved over last year. He understands the game a little better – it is still bunch ball and the kids have no idea that they aren’t suppose to take the ball from their own teammates, but they usually know which goal they want to score on so that is a good thing(except this weekend when Brogan scored on his own goalie). Brogan scored 2 goals at his first game – these were his first goals ever in a game! Grandma and Grandpa Stumpf and GG and Grandpa Dave were all there. I don’t know who was more excited Brogan, Mommy, or GG. Last Saturday he scored 1 goal and Daddy was there for that game and this Saturday he scored 2 if you count the one on his own goalie! They don’t keep score at this age, but the kids still know that a goal is a point. Auggie has proven to be a great goalie and he loves it. He is one of the few kids who will actually get in there and grab the ball when it is kicked at him.

And he scores!!!!!!!!
Do you think he was excited!?!?!?!
